Texas Chili (No Beans)
While It's Hot Issue #18. A slow-cooked, no-beans chili built on dried chiles and beef
When it gets cold, this is what I like to make. It’s more like a stew than a what most people think of when they think of chili, but in my opinion it’s way better. It’s rich, savory, complex, no beans in site and dried chilis are essential. If you’ve never had a true Texas chili, this is a good place to start. Best served with an ice-cold Modelo.
